Take Action: Tell your representative to stand up to Chris Christie!

35,000. That's how many of us took to the streets of Trenton on May 22 to fight against dangerous cuts to services and to demand that our legislators restore the millionaires' tax.

But we don't have time to pat ourselves on the back. We need to build on what we started and keep the pressure up.

Click here to tell your state representatives to say "NO!" to the cuts, and demand that they restore last year's millionaires' tax.

Because even though the working families of New Jersey took a stand in the largest rally in the history of the state, Governor Christie still won't listen. He's so bent on leaving no millionaire behind that he's willing to gut schools, health care, libraries, mass transit, and property tax rebates just to save his huge tax cut for the rich.

But between now and the signing of the budget in July we can still move our legislators. They've been watching the television and reading the paper. They know people are angry about Christie's cuts and his giveaways to the wealthy. What they need to know now is that this wasn't a fluke or a one-time stunt. We have to make them understand that we are going to remember whether they stood with us or with Governor Christie and his super-rich friends.

Click here to demand your legislator support last year's full millionaires' tax and pledge to override any veto of it by the Governor.

The future of this budget and its impact on this state is going to be decided over the next month. If we want a say in what happens, we have to speak up.  It's now or never.
