Just days ago legislators cut a backroom deal with the Governor that leaves billions in devastating cuts to education, health care and support for low-income families in this year's budget. They may hold a final vote on this brutal budget as soon as Monday.

There's so much on the line. This budget would cut billions in aid to New Jersey schools, parks and libraries; cancel property tax rebates; raise taxes on low income workers; drive up the cost of school lunch and breakfast; slash tuition assistance, and much more. What's worse, it would ask nothing of corporations or the very wealthiest people in this state.

It's time to demand that legislators stand up to this Governor and show real leadership. They need to reject this budget and any budget that is balanced on the backs of working families.
